What is it: The polySTRIKER™ is a waterproof fire-starting tool that works by using a combination of a ferrocerium rod and an ultra-sharp tungsten carbide striker.
Tips: The rod has a protective coating from the factory, remove with a few scrapes of the striking tool before striking for sparks. When striking use moderate pressure and high speed when scraping rod.
